This is My Story
Since my junior year of high school (2019-2020), I’ve had a strong interest in health and exercise. I followed all the FDA guidelines: avoiding saturated fat, limiting red meat, eating plenty of grains, sticking to low-fat diets, choosing plant-based options, and buying all the “high-protein” snacks at the store. I truly thought I was healthy. But I wasn’t.
At the time, I overlooked the signs that something was off. I was still on an antidepressant, struggling with severe anxiety, intense brain fog, and an inability to stay on task. My skin was terrible, I was bloated after every meal, and I never seemed to get quality sleep. I had no mental clarity, and the only way I felt productive was by drinking a Red Bull beforehand. I would crash in the afternoon each day, and I often needed a midday nap because I was so exhausted. On top of that, I developed an autoimmune condition called pityriasis rosea, which left my skin covered in rashes. These symptoms held me back—I didn’t have the energy to truly enjoy life, and I felt like I was constantly procrastinating, missing out on experiences because I couldn’t focus on the tasks in front of me.
This confusion frustrated me. I was following the diet recommended as “healthy,” yet I kept asking myself: why do I still feel this way? Why am I so tired and bloated?
It wasn’t until August 2023, right after I graduated college, that I decided to make some real changes. What triggered this change was an experience I had in an aisle at Whole Foods—I noticed they were selling venison, which surprised me since my family hunts it wild. Then I saw grass-fed and finished beef and wondered, what even is that? I bought both and instantly noticed the difference in the taste compared to conventional meat. This led me down a long rabbit hole of researching the food I was consuming and reading ingredient labels at the store. I quickly realized that most of the ingredients didn’t even sound real and weren’t even necessary.
Starting that August, I committed to a diet of just high-quality beef, cheese, milk, eggs, organic fruits, some vegetables, butter, and olive oil. After just a couple of weeks, I felt the inflammation leave my body—my bloating disappeared, my skin cleared up, I slept deeply, and my mental clarity sharpened in a way I’d never experienced. It felt incredibly refreshing and freeing. Over the next eight months, as I transformed my diet and lifestyle and learned more about the food industry, I realized that most people, including many Americans, are unaware of the issues in our food supply. This realization was heartbreaking, and it sparked a deep passion within me to educate, guide, and coach others so they, too, can experience these changes.
Today, I’m in the best physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of my life. My perspective on the American food industry has completely shifted, and my outlook on life has taken a new, vibrant direction. I used to just look at symptoms and how to treat them—but now I look at the root cause of these things, and how to redirect its growth and food source. I’m excited to share my journey with my clients and help them discover their own transformations. Together, we can learn, grow, and reclaim our health at its source.
My Education History
While in high school, I simultaneously enrolled in two community colleges, completing multiple online classes in addition to my high school courses. In 2021, upon graduating from high school, I also earned three associate degrees: two Associate of Arts and one Associate of Science.
Following these achievements, I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill that fall, entering as a junior. Initially, I planned to apply to the nursing school, as I believed that was my chosen path. However, as I completed the prerequisites, my interests evolved. I considered pursuing biology as a pre-med route or psychology with the goal of obtaining a master’s in clinical therapy. Ultimately, psychology resonated with me the most, leading me to commit to this path.
In December 2021, I experienced a serious accident that delayed my ability to begin my psychology courses until the following fall in 2022. Despite the challenges and limited downtime, I was able to complete all my coursework and received my diploma in August 2023. This period also marked the beginning of my personal health journey, as I grew increasingly aware of deeper issues in conventional wellness.
After graduating, I took a gap year to explore the world and apply to graduate school. By the spring of 2024, after immersing myself in holistic health practices, I decided that graduate school was not the right path at that time. Instead, I wanted to help others through the healing power of food and lifestyle choices. This led me to enroll in the Primal Health Coach Institute, where I earned my certification to become a Health and Wellness Coach. This program differs from conventional approaches by focusing on nutrient-dense foods and ancestral practices, such as proper sunlight exposure, grounding, quality exercise and rest, and minimizing toxin exposure—principles that profoundly changed my own life.
Now, I aspire to help others through these ancestral health practices and seek whole-heartly to follow the guidance of Jesus as I move forward in my career.
